What is the Survey of Unit Level Employment Practices?
Released January of 2007, the People Report™ 2006 Survey of Unit Level Employment Practices (SULEP) is the largest survey of hourly employment practices of its kind. This detailed research study addresses and benchmarks best practices in the areas of training, retention, cost of turnover, compensation, benefits, recruiting practices, work place safety, community involvement and other important issues related to both unit level management and unit level hourly
employees. The study includes leading chain and independent restaurateurs, from quick service, quick casual, family, and full-service casual and fine dining concepts. This survey reveals an updated picture of the issues that impact all operators and human resource professionals who work and employ workers in the service industry and allows you to measure your results against the most up-to-date benchmarked information.
SULEP is the only resource used by Chain Leader Magazine to select the companies profiled in its annual special issue, "Best Places to Work," published each April.
The 2006 SULEP was conducted during August-November of 2006, and was published in January 2007.
