Founder & CEO

Joni Thomas Doolin is the CEO and founder of People Report™, the foremost provider of human capital metrics, benchmarks, trends and best people practices for the foodservice industry. Acknowledged by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation as an expert in workforce practices, this innovative research and consulting practice publishes quarterly and annual reports for it's members that track, analyze and benchmark the people side of the P&L. Based in Dallas, Texas, the People Report consortium represents more than 12,000 restaurant units of 100+ restaurant chains, with system-wide sales exceeding $45 billion. The firm's extensive databank contains insight on more than 100,000 unit level managers and the collective work practices of over 1,000,000 employees, providing competitive workforce data that represents one in five chain foodservice employees.

Since 1995, People Report's work has established new standards in best practices, raising the bar for people management, resulting in significant improvement in critical areas including employee retention and composite diversity. Committed to helping the People Report consortium "maintain the balance between people and profits" Doolin's innovation and thought leadership has helped the industry realize the bottom line impact associated with its greatest asset, people.

Joni's extensive industry and community involvement revolve around her commitment to helping the foodservice industry truly become an employer of choice. She is a frequent speaker, writer and contributor to trade and business publications regarding innovation in human capital practices. She serves as a guest editor for Chain Leader Magazine's Best Places to Work issue, and as an advisor to both the National Restaurant Association and its Educational Foundation on workplace trends.
