People ReportTM Expands and
Promotes Staff to
Support Growing Membership Base of More Than 70 Companies
Dallas – In
response to People Report’s all-time high membership with more than 70 foodservice
companies, representing more than 56,000 managers, two new staff members joined the team
as well as two staff members promoted. In an effort to provide quality service to its
members, People Report announced promotions for Claudette Germano, vice president –
senior. analyst as well as Nancy Thomas, director of operations services. In addition to
promotions, Shyam Patel joined the team as research analyst as well as Melissa Papaleo as
director of membership and marketing relations.
Claudette Germano was promoted to vice president
– sr. analyst and will oversee and manage all in industry research, survey design
and implementation and database management.
Germano started her career with People Report™ in May 1999 as a consultant/analyst.
Prior to joining People Report, she worked as a research and development coordinator with
Batrus Hollweg International. She holds a Master of Business Administration, with a
concentration in strategy and organizational behavior, from the University of Texas and a
Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of North Texas.
Nancy Thomas now holds the title of director of
operations services. Thomas will manage all operations and services for People Report.
She began her career with People Report’s affiliate company, American Service
Management Resources, Inc. in 1987. Throughout her career with ASMR she held the positions
of hospitality recruiter and assistant controller. Thomas obtained her degree in Business
Management from Duff's Business Institute, Pittsburgh, PA.
Joining Germano in
the analysis department as research analyst is Shyam Patel. Patel will
support Germano in providing industry research and reports to members. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from
Eastern Michigan University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. His diverse work
experiences include working with statistical packages such as SAS, Limdep, and
Eviews. After earning his Bachelors, Patel held a graduate assistantship to support
a presidential initiative studying the economic impact of Eastern Michigan University on
the local community, surrounding areas, and Michigan as a whole. Shyam also spent his
summer as an Americorp VISTA volunteer.
Melissa Papaleo will hold the Director of Marketing
and Membership Relations position. Papaleo will manage all communications and
marketing aspects as well as provide support to membership. Prior to People Report,
Papaleo worked for the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation where she
held positions in the communications department and most recently is sales as a Regional
Account Manager where she managed the relationship of numerous state restaurant
associations and regional restaurant operators and distributors. Papaleo graduated from
Johnson & Wales University where she earned an Associate Degree in Hotel/Restaurant
Management and a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Sales and Meeting Management.
